The Manoir. (Aged Burgundian Limestone)

Price excludes VAT Request a Brochure

Hand carved in warm Burgundian limestone the Dordogne fireplace is an excellent example of the 'Manoir' style fireplaces and is suitable for both log burners and open fires. With a mantel 1794 mm long and 484 mm wide there is plenty of depth to decorate or place overhanging pictures or mirrors. The opening is 1146 mm wide and 970 mm high. However, slips can also be supplied, cut to size, if the opening needs reducing further to fit your fireplace

The fireplace can come with a matching Burgundian limestone outer hearth, as shown, which measures 1793 mm long by 550 mm wide and by 50 mm thick. (Please just tick the "Included Hearth " box if required.)  Different sized outer hearths, as well as inner hearths and slips, can all be supplied in matching sandstone, honed black slate or polished black granite and quoted for if required.

This fire surround is prepared for fitting before it leaves our workshops and will have all the fixing holes pre-drilled so it is easier to assemble on site.

A fireplace fitting pack including spacers, pins, glues, and instructions also comes with the fireplace.

Please call if you would like to discuss delivery dates and installation.

The Dordogne fireplace, an impressive Provincial French design frequently seen in Manoirs throughout France, is carved in limestone to reflect the originals and is characterised by the sweeping console jambs which support the plain frieze and the typically deep mantel shelf. A great design for large open log fires to set off traditional wood-burning stoves.
Mantle 1793 mm long by 1371 mm high and a massive 489 mm deep with an opening 1170 mm wide by 970 mm high.
If slips or hearths are needed we can supply these and cut them to the size. Matching stone is recommended for this design.
This French limestone fireplace can also be custom made to whatever size is needed.
