A warm beige Burgundian limestone from a small family quarry in France is used to carve the "A" size 17th-century French fireplace. With strong bolection detailing, a generous mantel shelf and a fireplace opening of 1194 mm wide by 1014 mm high makes this fireplace ideally suited for the more substantial open fireplaces or to surround openings in which the bigger wood burners are set.
The fireplace surround can come with a matching Burgundian limestone outer hearth, as shown, which measures 1606mm long by 600 mm wide and by 50 mm thick. (Please just tick the " Include Hearth " box if required.) Different sized outer hearths, inner hearths and wall cladding can all be supplied in matching stone, honed black slate or polished black granite and quoted for if required. Matching slips can also be provided to reduce the opening dimensions if needed.
This fire surround is prepared for fitting before it leaves our workshops and will have all the fixing holes pre-drilled so it is easier to assemble on site.
A fireplace fitting pack including spacers, pins, glues, and instructions also comes with the fireplace. Please call if you would like to discuss delivery dates and installation.
