Immerse yourself in the enduring beauty of Italian Roman Travertine, a stone with a rich history dating back to the third century BC, cherished for its role in defining Roman architecture since the Roman Empire. Notably, the Colosseum itself was constructed primarily using travertine.
Our 17th-century French fireplace, masterfully carved from this remarkable material, showcases robust bolection detailing and a generously proportioned mantel shelf. Standing at a majestic height of 1134 mm, with a mantel spanning 1326 mm in length and 244 mm in depth, it represents a harmonious blend of artistry and functionality. The fireplace opening, measuring 914 mm in width by 914 mm in height, offers versatility, making it ideally suited for most fireplace openings, whether intended for natural fires or wood burners.
To complete the ensemble, the fireplace surround can be accompanied by a matching travertine outer hearth, as displayed, measuring 1326 mm in length, 600 mm in width, and 50 mm in thickness. Simply select the "Available with Hearth" option if desired. Additionally, we provide a range of differently sized outer hearths and inner hearths, all available in matching stone, honed black slate, or polished black granite, with personalised quotes readily available to cater to your unique preferences. For added flexibility, a set of slips can be supplied, expertly cut to the required size, should the 17th-century French fireplace opening need adjustments to seamlessly fit your existing fireplace.
Before leaving our workshops, this fire surround undergoes meticulous preparation, including pre-drilled fixing holes, ensuring a straightforward assembly on-site.
