Carved in a warm beige Burgundian limestone from a small family quarry in France, the 17th-century French fireplace has strong bolection detail and a generous mantel shelf. Standing 1134 mm high with a mantle 1326 mm long by 244 mm deep. The fireplace opening is 914 mm wide by 914 mm high which makes it ideally suited for most fireplace openings with natural fires or wood burners.
The fireplace surround can come with a matching limestone outer hearth, as shown, which measures 1326 mm long by 600 mm wide and by 50 mm thick. (Please just tick the "Include Hearth " box if required.) Different sized outer hearths, inner hearths and wall cladding can all be supplied in matching stone, honed black slate or polished black granite and quoted for if required. (A limestone inner hearth and wall cladding helps lighten the fireplace opening and set off a stove if one is being installed). A set of slips can also be supplied if the 17th C French fireplace opening needs reducing in size to fit your existing fireplace.
This fire surround is prepared for fitting before it leaves our workshops and will have all the fixing holes pre-drilled so it is easier to assemble on site.
